Nana A. Opoku, owner of APEX Consulting & Surveying, Inc. began his professional surveying career with Karst Surveying Services, Inc while working on his Associate’s Degree in Architectural Engineering at Purdue University. He completed that degree in 1999 but continued his education at Purdue completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology in 2001. In 2009, Mr. Opoku, gained 51% ownership of MCrea land Surveying, a small, but promising land surveying company. He however, remained at Karst through 2010, expanding his experience to include site development surveying and engineering in several capacities including commercial/retail sites, subdivisions, apartment complexes and mobile home parks. Mr. Opoku moved to McCrea Land Surveying in 2010 with top notch skills under his belt and gained full ownership of the company two years after. He embarked on a vibrant rebranding mission that transformed the company into APEX Consulting & Surveying, Inc., a fast growing company in the land surveying service. In 2012, he received his Professional Land Surveyor certification from the State of Indiana. Pre-qualified by INDOT to perform topography and right-of-way plan development, he is also experienced in the creation of subdivision plats, plats of survey, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM surveys, right-of-way engineering and mining volume calculations.
